Any good vids or links for volume automation or fx in Sonar Pro?

Are there any links to draw volume automation on tracks?

Also is there an easy way to duck say a bass guitar each time the kick drum hits without adding it for each hit?  Can I use the midi kick drum trigger on a bass track to know when to duck 6 db?

I'd also like to know if there is a way to mute plugins on a timeline, so if the guitars are playing with no other instruments, the high and low pass filters are disengaged so it sounds fuller etc?

BUMP.  Produce like a pro stated volume automation is one of the most important aspects of mixing that separates the pro's and the enthusiasts.

I'd like to know how to control both the volume, mute fx add/delete fx mid track via automation.

To automate track volume, just right click the fader of the track you want to automate & choose Write Enable.

Play you project and move the fader to where you want

When you've done, right click again, switch OFF write enable, then go to Track View and you'll see the envelope. Edit it if you want to make adjustments.

Ducking should be done dynamically in real-time by driving the side-chain input of a compressor on the track to be ducked with a send from the control track. You can Google keywords  against site:forum.cakewalk.com to find relevant threads and/or see this Cakewalk blog post to get started:

You can automate individual EQ parameters or the FX Bypass function to achieve the other goal you mentioned. Choose the desired parameter to automate from the Edit Filter drop-down in the track to create a new automation envelope.
