Any iOS apps just for songwriting?
I have searched and searched for a decent app just for the songwriter and I came up with a couple. The couple that stood out in my mind is an app called Barz n Hookz and Lyrics Pro Studio. Does anyone know anything about these apps and also do you know any other apps I can use? Thanks

I use Songwriter HD and love it! Since using it I haven't even looked for another program.

Yes I saw that one and downloaded all three. I like Songwriter but I'm feeling the User interface for Barz n Hookz. It's not perfect but It feels comfortable for my workflow. I see that it's relatively new so hopefully it will be supported down the line.

I still have Camel Audio Alchemy on my iPad. I was hoping Apple would create an Alchemy 2 for iPad. I haven't really messed with Garage Band. The cuteness of mobile apps has wore off on me. Here is a couple free apps from Props. They seem to promote this more than their recent lackluster version of Reason. https://www.propellerheads.se/takehttps://www.propellerheads.se/figure

Those are cool apps, but when I say songwriting apps I'm not talking about writing melodic ideas with instruments. I'm talking about writing songs as in with words! But these are cool apps indeed!

I can't seem to generate a link but you can search the AppStore for the aforementioned apps.

Not for iPad, but for desktop/laptop Mac or PC... I use the combination of Rhyme Genie ($25) and its companion Tune Smith (free). I don't know if they'll ever make a mobile version. That'd be almost too good to be true. http://www.rhymegenie.com/index.htmlhttp://www.rhymegenie.com/tunesmith.html I've gone through a lot of different writing tools, and really like this combination. It's more tightly integrated on the Mac, but the PC version works great. You can manage your creative talent, song catalog and pitch journal right from Tune Smith. It's amazing for a free add-on.

Rhyme Genie is pretty cool! The apps I purchased don't have this functionality and it would be nice if something like this was integrated. With Barz N' Hookz it looks like it uses the built in dictionary and thesaurus within iOS, but that rhyming dictionary is killer! Also there's a recording feature in it that I like a lot since using it. I already sent out acapellas to a couple of producers through the app. If Rhyme Genie made an app for iOS it would be killer, but it should have a recording function because that is needed in today's market. Still thanks I'm going to check this out!!!

Been looking for some lyric tools on Windows as well. Most of the time I use rhymezone.com but was looking up some stuff like MasterWriter but subscription based and costs more than my Microsoft 365 account? No thanks.

Someone must have bought it but I'm guessing it would be an older version. I'm still amazed that the company is still in business considering how much they charge.
