Rather than running it on a pad, it would be nice if all of Cake's stuff could be controlled from a pad.  Me, I've got Android and am still waiting for all the wonderful controller stuff the Ipad doesn't even have.  It would be cool - tactile control.

Have you tried TouchOSC? (comes in iOS and Droid flavors)

    http://hexler.net/software/touchosc

I've used this to make a template for z3ta+ 2 along with other softsynths.  (just by assigning MIDI CC#s to knobs and sliders then using the MIDI Learn function on the synths)  It works out pretty well, using the wireless MIDI option.

If I clean up my TouchOSC templates maybe I'll post them online to share.

    Cheers

iOs, not really but, if they were to port it to iOS, I'd sure like to see a OSX version. Don't think it's in the cards, though...

I have it on my iPhone. Nice, but I get all sorts of interferences in the speakers and in the cans whenever the iPhone retrieves stuff on the network, no matter how I set it ip.

Yeah even the wifi it is pretty laggy.  If you are serious I'd invest in the USB camera kit that Apple offers.  This will allow you to directly plug in a MIDI device so you can route MIDI IN and OUT under usable latency.
