Any issues with BFD3 since Platinum release?

Finally went back to BFD after a couple years with AD. Tried to install the V2 - V3 update and it just wont go. Tells me I have a license error whenever I try to run it. Then it wont let me in via the license manager. Man I hate secret handshakes. The funny thing is, It's installed and registered, all legal. Software gets too clever for its own good at times.

Regards, John

Make sure you are running the installer as Administrator.  Sometimes
that interferes with the installation.  I didn't have an issues installing
    with X3, ....

Since BFD3 was installed before Platinum, no problems here.

THere's more at work than meets the eye. As soon as I try and run it I get errors on several levels and it crashes the audio engine. I guess I'll have to wait until next week when the UK wakes up. Thanks for the posts guys.

Bumping this thread to say I fixed the problem and tell others that Fxpansion customer service completely sucks. 3 days in and they still haven't contacted me. Now I know how folks in the UK feel when trying to get help from a US company.

Somehow there was a licensing problem with multiple user names and passwords. It must have come from a demo I tried years ago. This was crashing their installer and even though it indicated a good install it was incomplete.

The glitching of the installer was somehow crashing my Quad Capture interface. I figured out the license problem and then did a complete reinstall of the program. Once I got the Plug -in working in Sonar I could then run the stand alone. I contacted Fxpansion last Friday and have yet to even get a response.

The problem still exists in their system and I had to use the user name from one account plus the password from the other to make it work. Why it took out the system is still a mystery.

You mean you have more than one user name with fxpansion or cakewalk? Or both?
    Why?

Since Fxpansion won't respond to my ticket I can only assume that the second account was created years ago while testing one of their products. Cake accounts have nothing to do with Fxpansion since it's not bundled software.

Haven't used BFD 1 for years, and certainly not after they released Eldorado containing the original kits for use with BFD2 etc .....

I think actually jih64 was referring to BFD1 which was never 64 bit so he was right
