Any need to deauthiorise software before upgrading Win 8.1 to 10
A simple question but I suspect there is not a simple answer and I would be intrested to hear how others have go on. While I am not in a rush to update the release of APRO and Quad Capture drivers has rempved the last showstopper I am aware of. Should any software be deauthorised before upgrading. Toontrack comes to mind, as I have run out of new authorisations for some products.

I didn't. I up'd from Win7. All authorizations survived. That said, I did have a couple of driver issues, with? You guessed it, my audio i/f and my iLok (which I'm finished with; I don't care how much I like the Slate Digital stuff). So, the only concern would be if the app doesn't run under Win10 AND you need to do the license deauth from within the app. Then you'd be in trouble.

I had to reauthorize AD2 and Spectrasonics. I then de-authorized the previous Win 7 computer on the XLN site because I'll probably load AD2 on my new laptop.

I already owned AD2 before I bought and installed SPlat. I did NOT have to reauthorize AD2. For those who had to reauth. AD2, was that the license that came with SPlat? Just wondering. No biggie.

I upgraded from Win 8.1 Pro x64 to Win 10 Pro x64 and I did not have to reauthorize anything. EZDrummer 2.0, EZKeys, NI Komplete 10, UAD plug-ins and even my iLok 2 and associated plug-ins made it through the upgrade harmoniously. Cheers, Billy Buck

If you didn't upgrade to the new 2.5 version of iLok Manager that might be why you had problems... I tried to authorize my Slate stuff and all it did was hang...then I checked for an update to the iLok Manager. After I updated it was fine...but before the Slate thing there was never an issue...it always just worked...even in Win 10 Preview...every version, and the released version...

I've got the latest version. It installs. But when I plug the iLok in, I get a USB error, similar to the one I got from Win7. Gotta be my hardware. No iLok for me.
