Any other artistic or collector types of hobbies/characteristics?

I cannot paint.  I can write and do write pretty well, though most of mine is very business oriented or technical writing.  I would like to write a novel someday about a B-Grade space rock band touring the outposts of the galaxy opening for one-time has beens.

Otherwise
Besides collecting guitars/amps/synthesizers/drums and such
I collect arms and heads for all the headless and armless statues in the other museums
I collect the erasers to those pencils at putt putt and regular golf courses

I collect a list of websites dedicated to "collectors".

I'm up to one (I think).

    I'm just gauging proportion there.

It must all seem relatively small then.

I collect scorn and ridicule.  I used to collect physical abuse, but I got tired of it after awhile.  You should see my derision collection.  I keep it in the garage.  I used to get a lot of sarcasm, but I didn't have the energy to decipher it.  Now, it just goes over my head (along with irony, which is frequently improperly identified).  I used to aim to become an Underachiever, but I came up short.  My Mediocrity trophies are dull, lifeless, and bear the inscription, "Your Name Here - Whatever".

I've been into photography since film was king. The digital age has been kinder to photographers than musicians. At least with digital my overhead costs have really dropped and I've not lost any creativity.

Sadly, I find digital music has not followed the trend. Nothing worse than trying to sort out Pro Channel issues or the latest "not a bug" issue to kill my creativity.

I find star gazing to be a creative past time. Watching the seasonal parade of the constellations and planets is quite relaxing and somewhat poetic.

    Regards, John
I want to make it clear that I am an Eedjit. I have no direct, or indirect, knowledge of business, the music industry, forum threads or the meaning of life. I know about amps.

I used to draw. I had a good potential for that. I studied literature - I had a way with words. I also like martial arts.

But music - and learning more about sound, mixing and all that stuff - literally consumes all my free time. I wake up anxious to try new ideas and often fall asleep trying to assimilate what I have learned.

The only time off I take is to be with my fiancée.

I don't collect things - as a matter of fact, I don't own much. I can relocate take and all my possessions w/ me by car anytime. I've systematically left everything behind numerous times and started anew. To me, everything that you own owns you in return, so I try not to invest energy and emotions into things.

My moto I borrowed from Dracula: I'm taking with me only 3, uh... boxes. Which is a good thing considering our current life.

No they aren't...they are the beautiful hue of my skin so lovingly gazed at by one and all in my understated yet dynamic avatar picture, imbued by the sun and full of life, love and energy.  They still smell the same though.  Gotta work on that.

I enjoy gardening.  I can sew, but don't much anymore.  It's not a hobby, but I actually enjoy teaching when I understand the subject matter.  I love the 'ah ha' moments from my students, or when I figure out a new way to make things clear.
