Any painter/artist/sketcher/album artist here?
I need the help for making a cover art for our album, to be released by December. Is there anyone able to help or render 'service' to us? You of course will be credited and given the ownership of the artwork (or however it goes in that matter) and paid of a fee if you require us to pay, just not that much because we're still at high school and aside from the money we saved up to make the copies, we're practically broke. Thanks guys!

And when i mean 'making' cover art, i actually mean properly drawing/creating the art itself based from a sketch that we made, or add ideas if there are.

Love to help Miguel, but 'by December' is way too short a deadline I'm afraid. Anyone..? Bueller? Strummy?

If you want professional results, just remember, professionals charge. There are a horde of hungry graphic artists out there who could do the job for you and probably blow your mind with their results. Start some inquiries amoung the graphic artists websites.

Here's the sketch (more of a scribble though, we both suck at drawing. My friend drew this while at school.) This is the more decipherable one, but he forgot to put the album name on it, and the meteor didn't feature a face which he also forgot to draw. This was the even poorer sketch of what it should look like, but how 'Human Incapacity' was written here (forming an L) is how it should be written It's a meteor crashing to earth, but the meteor has a face and it's supposed to look disgusted and afraid, as if rejecting to hit earth because it's afraid to witness even an inch of humanity's stupidity and immoral acts. Then the "Human Incapacity" should be drawn as how it was drawn forming a letter 'L'. The properly drawn band logo could be found at www.myspace.com/demorganph but ofcourse i'll be sending the actual file. The back of the art would just be the tail of the meteor sticking out, then just black (since it's outerspace) and maybe a few stars. Maybe it's too childish or too comical, but i think we're sticking with that. I apologize for the poorly made sketch.

@CRG Thanks for the advice! We're currently doing what you have mentioned and at the moment the only ones we find are tattoo artists. Maybe we could let him make something good then just scan it to digitalize it? @All Thanks everybody! And i'm sorry about the deadline. We just wanted to give ourselves a great Christmas gift, and as a gift for my bandmate's mother, who is sadly suffering from stage 4 cancer at the moment. My bandmate is my bestfriend, and i know he wants to make his mother proud and happy for him before anything is too late. I'm sure aunt (i call her aunt even though we aren't really blood-related due to the closeness of me and my bestfriend's family) would be very happy to see his son accomplish something.

SeveredVesper . The properly drawn band logo could be found at www.myspace.com/demorgan. Is that the correct link? - When I click on it goes to the site of some guy in Spain?

Lots of Tattoo artists work digitally to make their designs. I don't know if you've ever used any graphics programs like Paint Shop Pro etc. I use PSP 9 and you can really get some great results with those type of programs. In addition to that there are many CD labeler programs that you could probably get the job done with using their art samples. It takes a bit of learning and work. Your sketches should more than enough for a real graphic artist to do the finished product with.

I suggest you look for someone local in the Philippines. they will be a lot cheaper than someone in USA/Europe and you could build a long term relationship. Roger Dean and Yes worked out pretty well

marcos69 Wow Marcos this is nice! Thanks so much! The only thing that i found incorrect from my ideas was the face, i forgot to tell that the face should be quite disturbing and not really a human face. Like a meteor looking disgusted or disturbed, not a meteor with a disturbed looking humanoid face. Something comic . But wow that was fast and wow. Really, thanks a lot for this! I mean real thanks man!

It would also be alot better if it were cartoonish and satirical. Marcos' work was too elegant and refined, but maybe that's his style and it was very good. Cartoonish like how these were drawn:

Hi, I was thinking that the comet should have a couple of tears streaming down its face ... and that could be a slight theme in the background of the music with an odd instrument doing single notes going down the scale ... my example? ... Tosca, Act 2. Check out the tenor's aria and specifically look for a violin by itself in the background, barely audible, that goes ... dun de dun de dundun de dun dun ... and it just about cries for film, since you can't very well see the tears on stage during the aria and you have to imagine it via the words on CD or record. Just some fun stuff! I would probably even add that on every song ... just five or six notes spreading over a couple of beats, totally subtle and low in the background! Only the Beatles have done something similar with something like that and I think it came from George Martin, not the Beatles, since he knew music better than all 4 of them together!
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!
