Any success running Novation Impulse keyboards with ACT instead of AutoMap? (SPLAT)

Revisiting a subject from a month or two past ~

My Novation Impulse 49 is a great keyboard, and my primary controller for Sonar (latest Platinum updates, everything is 64-bit) and outboard synth modules. However, when using the Impulse with Sonar, the Novation AutoMap mixer and transport functions work great, but it's a complete no-go when it comes to VST's - for whatever reason, Sonar just will not recognize the AutoMap-wrapped VST's.

SO, rather than revisiting the how's and why's of that particular issue, I was wondering if anyone had any success bypassing AutoMap completely, and using the native ACT support of Sonar?  If so, any tips concerning a reliable setup?

Thanks in advance -

Randy

I'm using my Novation Impulse 61 with ACT in Sonar Platinum. I completely removed AutoMap from my computer.

Mapping buttons and faders with ACT Midi Controller works fine. However, I can't get it to work with plugins at the moment. (I still do in Sonar X3 and I'm pretty sure it worked in Platinum before, so either I'm missing something or it's broken in Cambridge release.)
