Any thoughts on AS Rock Z77 Professional Motherboard?

I'm in the early stages of looking at hardware for a new PC.  The AS Rock Z77 Professional gets good reviews at newegg.com.  I'll probably go with an i7 3770K CPU.

It will be months before I actually spring for the hardware so I've got plenty of time to look around.

Unfortunately my main DAW system died and I had to start a new build faster than I wanted to.

I got the ASRock Z77 Professional motherboard but it had two bad memory slots and I had to RMA it back to newegg (which took a week to get to them - they got it Thursday and I'm waiting on disposition so its not been a good experience).   If a memory module (GSkill Ripsaw memory that was certified by ASRock for this motherboard) was installed in either of the first two memory slots (the two closest to the CPU) it would halt with a "55" error on POST (no memory detected).  The other two memory slots are OK and it works with those two.  I have 4 memory modules and all 4 work in the other two slots so it eliminated the memory as a problem.  ASRock tech support suggested a UEFI setup change, but that didn't help the problem and ASRock told me to contact the seller for a replacement.
