Any way to randomly detune single midi notes?

When I can't get a decent guitar player in here, I like to do my acoustic finger picking on Musiclabs Real Guitar 2.  Sounds beautiful, but too perfect for a real player.  I have in the past gone in and manipulated each note individualy, but this is VERY time consuming.  Is there a CAL or program available that would do this for me?

you could probably do that with Frank's MIDI plugins.  google it.  it costs $35, IIRC.  I use it for "humanizing" MIDI sometimes.

I can't think how you'd do this just by manipulating MIDI other than introducing pitchwheel events, and getting that to sound realistic would be a huge challenge.

But you should check if your synth has a modulator that produces a random number for each note-on.  Many synths do.  Use that to lightly modulate the fine tuning.  Start with a 5 cent swing in either direction and season to taste from there.
