Any way to turn off Bitbridge in X1?
And if so, aside from the obvious (32 bit plugins won't work) would this affect Sonar negatively in any way? 99.9% of my plugs are 64 bit, so I just want to get rid of the thing. Thanks!

Don't use any 32bit plugins and you'll not be loading BitBridge. It's not something you turn on or off, it's a server process thing that loads when you run a 32bit plug.

why do you want "rid of the thing"? if you're using only 64bit plugins then you should never have a problem with it.

The only way I know you can turn off BitBridge is if you want to use jBridge, instead. To do this you have to have jBridge installed, go to the Plug in Manager, highlight the plug in, and select properties, then select to load that plug in with jBridge instaed of BitBridge. Each plug in you select to be loaded with jBridge will be loaded with jBridge instead of BitBridge.

I suspect Britbridge is the culprit of some issues I'm having. I've been using 32 bit plus, but now that 64 bit versions have been released I will replace the 32's with 64's. Gonna be a long project by project process!

The previous posters are right. Bit-bridge is a "silent" feature. In other words, if you're not using 32-bit VSTs in a project then BB won't be used at all. It's not something you need to worry about as it only is there when 32-bit VSTs are loaded.

Thanks Beagle for offering to help, but now that all my plugins are 64 bit the problem has been resolved.

Go to c:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\ Replace the WaveShell-VST 9.2.dll with the WaveShell-VST 9.2_x64.dll from c:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Waveshells\ Now you won't see the bitbridge for that plugin!
