Anybody (else) following the chess?
In particular, the world championship match between Carlsen (defending champ) and Karjakin, taking place in NYC currently.
I've been following Jerry from ChessNetwork's streams on Twitch &/or catching up with his post-game analysis on his youtube channel (which goes along at a considerably quicker pace than the live streams!) Just finished watching Game 4, a gruelling 6 1/2 hrs, 94 moves end-game slugfest. I'll not mention any spoilers re: current score in case people want to catch up and find out in their own time.
Fortunately, AGON's rather sad attempt to ban various channels' right to cover the moves live (not live video of the actual event, just getting the moves relayed to them for discussion and analysis) in a Russian court got kicked out as the court decided that it was not possible to copyright moves on a chess board :-D Should have gone in with a bigger bribe, guys :-p
Anyway, if anybody's interested I'd definitely recommend checking out the ChessNetwork coverage, Jerry has a very calm, soothing voice and provides excellent analysis of the games' positions.
