Anybody own a Tascam TM-D8000?

So I have a chance to get one of these behemoths pretty cheap. I want to know if anyone has gotten it to work as a control surface. I know Sonar Platinum has very deep MTC/MMC capabilities. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it before I fork over any money. Thanks for any advice!
