Anyone Here Have Experience with Novation Impulse & AutoMap

Howdy... I posted this in hardware as well although there doesn't look to be a lot of issue with this situation. I don't know a thing about "automap" and have never used an external controller for any Cakewalk product. It seems to be a darn good thing to have and the Impulse triggers soft synths well with a great feel to the keys IMHO. Can anyone help explain this process to me? I can't understand it at this time, although I will be studying how to use it! Thanks!

Okay, I looked at your message in the other section.  One thing that may be a problem is that I don't think Automap recognizes X2 yet so it doesn't step you through the SONAR setup.

If you haven't already, go to the directory where you installed Automap (C:\Program Files (x86)\Novation\Automap on my system).  In there look for the directory "Setup Guides".  Under that will be a directory for SONAR X!, and under that directories for various devices inclding the Impulse controllers.  Pick the one you have, and follow the steps in the rtf files where it tells you how to configure the control surface in SONAR.

watch the first bit.. and it'll give you the option in the video for sonar

it's tricky as I modified my SL Mk2 and it messed up for other things outside sonar (cubase / reason)

I want to reset it to default 100% as in factory bought, and it never reverted back to that after the changes using their editor + the tech support layout change thing.

I did before and it still didn't fix it
