Anyone Install the Downloaded Version of SampleMoog?

I'm trying to (selected it as my first freebie in the group buy).

I downloaded a zip file that's about 25M in size.  It contained an install exe that's about 29M in size after unzipping and a couple of pdf files.

The program installs but there are no sounds installed.  The IK promotional material boasts the there's supposed to be over 4G of samples.  Unless compression algorithms have gotten a hell of a lot better in recent times, there's no way 29M can contain 4G of sample data.

Discussions with IK tech. support are ongoing, but there first response was pretty lame.

Anyone else installing the download version?

First thought would be that what you've downloaded is the shell/presets. Nothing was added to the "Sounds Download" in your user area? That's where I'd expect the library to show up. I bought an expansion tank this weekend and that's where my libraries showed.

Thanks.  It's exactly as you said.  I'm pretty sure no instructions from IK were included about the requirement to download the sounds from a different place than you download the software.  It's obvious in retrospect, but since I didn't even notice there was a sound download area, I had no clue that I needed to look there.  Sounds are downloading as I write this.

dmbaer AFIK, all the IK synths (Samplemoog, Miro, Sonik Synth etc..run on the same engine as SampleTank and have the same functionality (only the GUI is different). So if you haven't registered Samplemoog yet with IK, you don't need to as all you need to do is install the 4GB library in your SampleTank library.
You can save your SampleMoog registration and use it elsewhere. I have SonikSynth2, Miroslav (full), and all of the SampleTank sounds in one folder where all I have to use is ST.

Great. :) I've become quite familiar w/ the IK web site in the last few weeks. July was my "IK month". Now I have to refrain from trying their plug-ins because I systematically end up buying them.

dmbaer , make sure you back up the sounds onto dvd or cd , as they charge for downloads of sounds after 30 days..

Already did that, but thanks for the advice.

I must say that I'm finding SampleMoog to be my favorite yet from IK, based on a limited amount of time I've had to poke around in it.  I've got most of IK's other sample players, all bought at a bargain price in some sale or another.  I usually wonder if I shouldn't have passed on the "good deal", but this time I'm really looking forward to getting to know this one.  Much potential here, I think.
