Anyone Running Microsoft Remote FX on Windows Server 2008 R2 ?

Heavy Tech here, not for the faint at smart.

I am hoping to be able to logon to my DAW computer from any location in my house with hard LAN Cat6 and be able to
use all elements of the Server OS and audio and video in high definition as described by the demos of Microsoft Remote FX
on youtube and in tech articles.

"Redirect" is term used by Microsoft Remote FX it is a software term used to send the signal where you wish for it to go.
This is very new tech that allows us to use all "ports" in and out remotely.

STOP BEFORE YOU COMMENT: I am not trying to use my pro soundcard as i will redirect (internally) to the on board soundcard on the remote computer - no I will not be running Sonar- only Adobe Photoshop and Itunes and maybe games in my office,
hopefully I can sync my iphone over usb redirect as well.
My video card is ATI HD 5450 1gb and may need to be upgraded (possibly work fine).

The bigger question is: what OS choices do I have on the server?  can i run win7/64pro or am i forced to run win server 2008?
(It does appear that only Windows Server 2008 R2 supports these features)

What OS choices do I have for the computers talking to the server? (most likeley only Win 7)

If you have implemented this and have it up and running i would be honoured if you could send me any tech links and a best case scenario for a fresh install setup ,

Thanks for your input.
