Anyone Using Sonar X1 Producer On Windows XP 64 bit Pro?

I know that Cakewalk dumped us Windows XP 64 bit pro users some time ago but I was wondering if anyone here is running Sonar X1 producer on Windows XP-64?
I am tempted by these $99 offers for Sonar X1 but am having no problems with my old Sonar 8.5PE at the moment.  I do however still feel compelled to find out if anyone is running X1 on Windows XP-64 "successfully". I have been watching all the problems people are having with Sonar X1 on the forums and don't want to step into a quagmire of technical problems when things are going so well. I am after all a technical tenderfoot...heh heh and all that.
Thanks so much for any replies.
Ken

Time to bite the bullet, start again and upgrade to Windows 7 methinks. Or just stay happy where you are. I don't even think Microsoft is supporting 64 bit XP any more... well it appears that even they don't really know.

Thanks for the reply Alex. Yeah that link you posted to MS does look confusing.
This constant upgrading drives me crazy. I guess thats how they make their money though. Rats....daring to trigger our lust and cause us to buy again and again ...they are ruthless.....Don't you just love getting new stuff?...all the time.

    Hey Ken,

The move to Win7 is worth it.  Better use of system resources, much better driver support, a larger user base to help with issues you might run into, and let's face it, no one I know in the software industry is even testing against XP 64 anymore.

It was a great product in it's time, but as they say the world has moved on.
    Best, -Harry

XP 64 is NOT supported by Cakewalk; they make that abundantly clear ....

Knowing that, there are still questions about how to best optimize SONAR on XP 64 systems, if you so choose to use XP64 ....

I have loaded the 32 bit version on an older puter, and it seems to be running quite well ....

Will it work in 64 bit mode ? ... I am pretty sure it will not, and this is why I have been inclined to believe it is not, but am I wrong ? ....
