Anyone been to Sweetwater?

I was on the road for work today and passing through Fort Wayne so I decided to stop and see the brick and mortar store inside their headquarters. I was only there for a few minutes but I recommend it if you've never been. And I say that as someone who generally hates music stores.

Its big and roomy, but not super huge. Actually its probably a bit smaller than I expected. It is hyper neat and clean which is nice. Not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere. And seems like everything on the website is there. At least in the keyboard section. What impressed me is that it seemed like everything in the keyboard section was on and working. Every keyboard I touched, made sound. No fiddling with speakers or trying to get power to the keyboard required. I know that's the goal at your typical Guitar Center, but they rarely achieve it IME. A couple different sales guys approached me and asked if I needed help. When I said I didn't, they left me alone, no pressure. Nice.

If you find yourself in Fort Wayne, its definitely worth stopping in IMO.

If gear was the determining factor, we would all have a shelf full of Grammies and a pocket full of change.  -microapp
