Anyone else have any trouble downloading/installing/running SampleTekks Estonia?

...cause I sure am.  I've got lots of K4 Libraries from Per @ SampleTekk before and it's just a matter of unzipping the master file and then copying the resulting folder over to my K4 Third Party Library folder.  The Estonia piano should even be easier as it is just one single zipped master file.  But whether I extract it onto my desktop and then copy it into a folder on my library drive or extract it directly to my library drive it:  a]  gives me the samples missing dialog when loading a preset into K4, b]  sometimes does and sometimes doesn't find all the samples when I browse to the correct samples folder and point K4 to it, and c] all the presets that show up as loadable files (i.e. Estonia Dark, Estonia Bright, Estonia Sustain, etc...) are "fxp" files and not "nki" files.  Per as put me in direct contact with Michiel who developed the library and he seems to be telling me that this is indeed NOT supposed to happen.  Just thought I'd post a note here as I know several of you also own SampleTekk's wares.  Any info???

I was tempted, but opted for Emperor over Estonia. (Because you wouldn't make me a sample of "Layla" with Estonia but ajw did make one using Emperor, which clinched the deal.)

I did have some similar issues with Emperor, getting the the missing samples dialog. The good news is that my problems went away after I compressed the library. No more missing samples.

Well, I would've made you one Bit, honest.  But ajw beat me to it.  And besides the way I mangle things it would probably come out more like "Lay ya??  Heck I barely know ya!"  Plus...I ain't got the foggiest clue how to compress anything without a...er...compressor.

Start up Kontakt - I use the standalone version for this - click on the Files button at the top and select "batch re-save". Navigate to the folder where your .nki's are and click OK. Piece o' cake. If the samples aren't under that folder, you'll just get the familiar Missing Samples dialog - point it to the samples and go have a cup of tea.

Note that this will overwrite your existing samples, so it's probably prudent to make sure you have a backup of the originals first, but I've never had any issues.

The only downside is that you'll have to use Kontakt 4 from here on out (with the compressed libs). Any old projects with Kontakt 3 in them will no longer load because K3 doesn't know what to do with the compressed files (and if you try, the error message it gives will not be helpful). So I generally only compress newly-acquired libraries and leave the old stuff as-is.
