Anyone else having issues with X1C and SNap to Grid and F8?

Working on a project and two things are driving me bonkers:
Snap to Grid: it's on, it's off, it doesn't seem to want to work. Went to the Preferences and tried everything, but it refuses to snap to any note length.
F8: I hit F8 a few times to get to cut (why this can't be a default is beyond me) once out of say three or four times it moves the Now Time back to Measure Zero.

Anybody else?

Not sure what "tried everything" means but have you turned magnetic strength "off" - That will give you a good full snap.

You don't need to go to F8 to split. Using the Smart tool you can either position the now time and hit S, or right click and select split or my preferred method is to just hold the Alt key and click where you want the split.

    Thanks FFB...that ALT-Click is a life saver.

However, as for the Snap, when I say I have tried everything, I do mean EVERYTHING. Mag strength has no effect.

And it still does not explain my RTZ on pressing F8!

Can't help with that then I'm afraid. There is an issue with the separate PRV snap but only if mapped to a drum map. Even then it still snaps just to the global value instead. All I can say is it is working here, but that's not much use to you.

Only thing I can think of is you may have inadvertently mapped RTZ to F8.
