3dmus Hey Susan - I've got a KA6 and recently (this week) upgraded to Win10. I haven't done any extensive testing, but haven't encountered any issues yet. I'll try to load up a few heavier old projects and see if they still perform as before.
Hi okke- Sorry, I think I missed your post somehow. I came back to report that I upgraded and likewise have no issues so far with the KA6. Thanks! -Susan

Susan G Hi Max- ...I'm sort of in the same boat with my Komplete Audio 6. The NI web site suggests holding off on Windows 10 until they've completed compatibility tests with the release version.
mrdrwest Bummer. I have the same interface. NI has a new driver for KA6, v4.2.0. Have you had a chance to try it out to see if it works? Though I doubt it officially supports W10, I'll try it later on my W10 laptop.
Well then you better read this from 10 days ago... https://www.native-instru...-instruments-products/Apparently everything they've ever made works ;) I'd still test it.

Ironically ,the M-Audio 192 Audiophile pci card works just fine in win 10 after installing win 7 64bit drivers...( this card would not work at all in win 8 ) Also the Focusrite 2i4 also works without a hitch ....Im continuing testing on a spare win 10 machine , but its looking good for me as far as a DAW machine is concerned. EDIT .....Can also confirm The Maudio Firewire solo is also working.............While the going is good im going to try my old DS2416...wish me luck. Cheers Brian ps...i cant afford a RME..........lol

For information I updated my very capable 6 yr old HP Compaq desktop computer to Windows 10 which I use mostly for semi professional studio audio recording and production.
I find Windows 10 an excellent UI improvement to previous Windows versions and whilst Sonar Platinum seems to work great so far I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND LEAVING WINDOWS 7 or 8.1 YET!!!
Having researched the net I discovered that of all the audio interface manufacturers I checked Focusrite seems to be the only one with proven advanced beta testing of audio drivers for Windows 10 - but on downloading the latest updated mix control driver recommended by Focusrite I have continuous clicks and pops regardless of audio settings in Sonar and even when using windows media player.
I did however find a workaround - using generic low latency driver (I believe it came as part of a cubase / steinberg software install which you can get if you download a free trial) and my standard PC soundcard windows media player is fine and I can even run a 25 track audio Sonar session with many plug ins at the minimum allowed 10ms latency with no issues using the generic driver! It thus seems Windows 10 has improved audio latency performance for OM sound cards.
It also seems Focusrite beta drivers are not yet solid and reading the net every other manufactured is well behind - so I'd say wait because although I have a workaround I can't use my 6i6 interface, only the PC soundcard - and from what I have read I fear this could be the case for another 6 to 12 months
Some other info.
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my Sonar Platinums session now can't locate my waves vst3 plugins already in the session - I get a message saying waves plug ins missing but have checked waves license centre etc and they are available on my recent new custom PC running Windows 7.
I am fortunate as I have 2 dedicated PC systems for music production which is why I chose my old (but reliable) system to trial the upgrade to Windows 10 - on my experience don't do it yet it's way too early

FWIW the Focusrite 3.4 Mixcontrol DOES work perfectly with W10.
For the fun of it i upgraded to v 3.6 on Alex's reco, and yes, for the LS 56, they were/are both rock solid with a very very low latency. At least on my system. I do not believe all i read on the big internet.....
In fact upgrading to W10 put paid to my horrendous latency problem, so IMHO if you have a latency problem, then you should upgrade to W10. Oh, and i did't reset my Plugins ...........(sorry Alex, couldn't resist ! )

Well I finally tried out Windows 10 on one of my Music PC's, I just done a test with a cloned disk just in case, and can report that my M-Audio Delta 1010's (OLD) seem to work flawlessly under Windows 10 :) Using the latest/last driver 6.0.8 which was for Windows 7. Now if I can just find a way to come to grips with the look of the thing, I'd be ready to jump ship from Windows 7 I've upgrade 4 machines now, 2 laptops 1 test machine and 1 of my main DAW machines, rolled back 3 of them to Windows 7, and must say that the upgrade process and the rollback process has worked smoothly and flawlessly on each occasion, which I thought was very good.

I just want to chime in here with some info regarding the legacy M-Audio Firewire 410. I originally purchased it to use with a laptop, but since then, it has found a home on my desktop DAW :-) I do not have info on any other M-Audio products, but I have run across this thread on the M-Audio Community as I was researching the state of drivers for this particular legacy device. I am running the latest released drivers for Win 7, but there are reports in this thread that the Win 7 driver actually also works on Win 8 and Win 10. >>> community_dot_m-audio_dot_com/m-audio/topics/m_audio_firewire_410_windows_8_support Here is my humble opinion about the rush to upgrade to Windows 10, from somebody who has been building computers for 15 years. I just don't understand the rush. Windows 7 works well. It will be supported until 2020. Windows 8 works well, but I do understand that some folks cannot stand the UI. OK, but why would you want to risk the stability of your working Sonar rig to have the latest and greatest OS? An OS is only as good as the applications & drivers that run with it! Give the hardware vendors and driver developers time to catch up! You have a full year to grab the free version of Windows 10, so nobody is making you do this right now! Rant off... Hope this info is useful to anybody still using the M-Audio Firewire 410 :-) John

I'm testing windows 10 on my DAW now. I'm using an Echo Audiofire 4 with the latest drivers. I was on Win 7 and these are the same drivers. On win 7 I was running 64 samples with the network disabled. On win 10 it crackles and pops and then crashes the system. I never had win 7 crash due to a driver lagging so I'd say win 10 isn't as stable as 7. It did crash much more gracefully, that's an improvement I changed to 96 samples and it runs fine with the network running. That adds a couple ms of latency, but it's not a problem for me. I haven't checked performance setting yet, it's possible that the system will need to be optimized for the new OS. So Echo Audiofire 4 runs with the latest drivers, but it seems a little slower.

Mine wouldn't work with the old Intel P4 boards. I still have an old Gigabye AMD socket A board with VIA chipsets that could still run it. M-Audio FW410, AP192 work on Windows 10. I had to roll back a bad W10 upgrade but the interesting part was my Terratec EWx/2496 worked with Vista beta 64 drivers. I find it odd that those using W8 have problems with devices in W10.

The driver was not installed after upgrade was finished. I have tried "Repair" first running setup without deinstallation, but there was no success. I have completely uninstalled and then installed (in Windows 7 compatibility mode, not sure that was required). No problems so far.

using the Audiofire 2 here. had issues with the 5.8 driver so went back to the 5.7, still issues so then went to the 5.7.6. still having random losses of the driver/interface, especially if an audio app is closed. I have the SD 20 - it works fine. I simply hacked the inf file as per the previous PRC 300/500/800 posts. Can you not do the same ?

I am using the wonderful Roland Octa-Capture and when I installed Windows 10, there was no need to update anything, it continued to work fine with Sonar X3e without problems. This is a great audio interface to have. I read the detailed Octa-Capture reviews from Craig Anderton and I was sold.

Something hosed my UAD Apollo Quad Firewire and both UAD PCIe cards in Windows 8.2. No matter what I tried I could not get them to come back. UAD only officially supports Windows 7 anyway (a common sore spot for us Windows UAD users) so I threw a hail Mary and installed 10. Windows 10 found all three UAD devices and <so far> seems more stable than 8.2 was. But I REALLY REALLY wish UAD would officially support Windows 10...
