Anyone running sonar x3 on a macbook pro?

Hi,
My studio is all PC but my house is all MAC. People think I am crazy. But this is the way I like it.
In the studio I have a powerful Intel - 6 Core i7 overclocked 4.5GHz or better with HT 12meg cache with 32Gigs of RAM.
But I have to produce on the road and on the air ;-) Now I use Reaper just to lay down ideas but it's not Sonar!!!
So if I could run Sonar on my macbook air it would be amazing. I just bought a RME babyface which is just amazing and so portable.
Haven't tried bootcamp types...Anyone knows which is the best way to do it?
Thanks
joni

Bootcamp is the only way to do it. It's essentially a windows partition. You boot into windows. Parallels and Fusion are cool, but they don't really provide the stability and low latency to use a DAW. I've tried running Sonar in those, but it doesn't work very well at all. To track in Sonar you'll need to use Bootcamp for sure.

Another option: I record 48 tracks each weekend in Sonar on my live setup and then import the audio into logic on my production machine. You could do the same thing: Record in Reaper on your air - then transfer the audio to your other machine in Sonar. It's a little cumbersome, but it's a quick way to get it done if you don't have time to work on your computer, install windows, run updates, etc. That's the part that drove me crazy with bootcamp. Sitting and waiting on my computer drives me crazy.

+1 for bootcamp. Absolutely the only way to go. I ran Sonar X1 and X2 on a macbook pro both in the studio and live without issue for three years. When it was time to upgrade the computer I couldnt see any point in getting another mac since it had been running windows constantly - basically the worlds most expensive Wintel Laptop:)

Another +1 for bootcamp. Works really well. Be warned, however, Windows eats your Mac's battery for lunch! So it's not that good for tracking when you're out on an inflatable matress in the open seas. But plugged in, it's really good for hours upon hours.

    Great news. Thanks everyone.
I was not in the mood to buy a pc laptop just for my mobile stuff.
Will try as soon as I get back to work…(chilling on some paradisiac beach in the south of Mozambique…with the indian ocean and grilled prawns constantly in front of me ;-)))
all the best for everyone for 2014
    thanks
