Bitmeter uses high quality placebo FX <TM> processing :)

Actually, this gives me a great idea! An FX chain where the knobs don't actually connect to anything. It would have six knobs, "more lead guitar," "more bass," "more vocals," "more drums," "more keyboards," and "more rhythm guitar." Then when an annoying band member demands more of something, you just insert the FX chain, and turn up the level ever so slowly. Stop when the annoying band member says "YES! Now that's more like it!"

Noel, I realize you're brilliant but this time, you've outdone yourself.

You left out the all important "more cowbell", "virtuosity level", and the "Ego expander/gate" knobs.

I know what it says in the manual which is a little ambiguous. It doesn't actually say that Sonar can export those files just that they are can be used in Sonar.
Where in the export dialog do I select 32 or 64 bit float as my export bit depth. It's not available in any version of Sonar I've ever owned. Perhaps a screen shot showing you making that selection.

If you choose 32 or 64, it's floating point.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

We had a running gag in my band about buying a "talent gate" for our guitarist.

No, you're missing the most important part of the Placebo FX®; you need to let him/her turn the knob.

I wasn't aware of that. I know that 32 and 64 bit when used within Sonar are floating point. Didn't realise that a file could be generated using floating point. I'll have to do some more reading/study.
