Anyone used X2 with multitouch screen?

Hi all Following a series of unexpected mishaps (I'm not practising for filling out an insurance claim form here, honestly) I am having to upgrade parts of my audio pc and have been persuaded to go with Windows 8 at the same time. My monitor has been subject to a mishap also so I am considering the possibility of a touch screen monitor. Any experiences in using this type of equipment that would forearm me pre-purchase are very welcome! Dave

I purchased the Acer 23" with 10 point touch. IMO it's much better than a mouse and the faders /transport on my Axiom 49.
To my surprise, I find advantages in Track view more than in console view. Navigating and zooming using multi-touch is awesome.
Sometimes grabbing multiple faders in CV can be finicky. A larger screen may have been better but out of my price range.
I'm very happy with the purchase overall and I think that it can only get better.
I mounted it horizontally below my other 23" non-touch monitor. If I only had the one Touch monitor mounted vertically my experience may not be as good.

    Hi Dave,

I've got the 27" Planar model (20 touch-points) that Cakewalk used in their videos.
Works great!  But there are a couple of things you should know.

If you want to use Multiple touch points, you have to run Windows 8.
Right now, Sonar X2 is the only DAW app that supports multiple touch points.

In a multi-monitor setup, the touch-screen monitor *has* to be monitor number 1.
If it's number 2, 3, or 4 (and you try to put the console view on it as a secondary display), when you touch... it'll affect what's on monitor number 1.

    Best Regards,
