Anyone using Motu Micro Lite Midi Interface?

Hello All,

I have been using My Motu Micro lite Midi Interface with Windows XP Pro, Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro.  The Motu Micro lite has worked well with all the the previous OS mentioned.  I then built a new computer (See specs in signature area) installed Windows 8.1 again and then updated to Windows 10 Pro. I then re-installed Windows 10 after it became activated  and performed a clean install re-formatting the hard drive and make Windows 10 a clean install.

I re-installed Sonar X3e and all needed drivers and additional software needed.  I reattached all  USB and Fire-wire hardware, and the computer was booting nicely.  I then installed my last device which was the Motu Micro Lite Midi Interface, and that's when it happened, .. the 5 minute boot up.  I unplugged the Motu Micro lite from the USB port, rebooted and the SSD Hard Drive booted in about 7 seconds flat.  I reattached the Motu Micro Lite and I was back to the 5 minute Boot up problem again.   I have switched between all of the built in USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 on the motherboard and even added a USB 2.0 PCI card to the mother board but the boot up time with the Micro Lite is still around 5 minutes.

I went to the Motu Website and they report their Motu Micro lite is Windows 10 ready, however, I brought this  Interface back when Windows XP was out.  There were drivers on the site but they were for Windows 8.1 OS.  I re-downloaded them again and I still receive the 5 minute boot up problem.

I can still use the Motu Midi Interface just as I boot up first without it being connected to the computer and then plug it into a USB port and allow it to become connected.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Peace,
Jesse G. A fisher of men  <><

I have the micro lite, but am still on Win7x64. I had already decided that I don't want to upgrade to 10 anytime soon and this doesn't help. Thanks for the info.

Try turning off usb boot in your bios or move it down the list.

    gustabo,

Thanks for the advice, I will try it sometime tomorrow and let you know if that helped.  This has been bothering me for two weeks now.
