Anyone using NI Audio Kontrol with Sonar, 64-bit system?

I'm looking at USB 2 interfaces cos my firewire card keeps popping out of my laptop and it's driving me nuts. Looking at Audio Kontrol cos I have a holiday coupon for the NI shop. Anyone using it? What's the latency? Any problems?
I hope someone sees this fast; the coupon expires on Friday. :)

I'm looking at the Audio Kontrol 1 also.If the Audio Kontrol 1 has better latency than the Line6 UX2,I'm getting the Audio Kontrol 1.

hello. i'm a new forum member and a first time poster. still a newbie to most things computer. but , anyway... i bought a ni audio kontrol 1 11-22-10, from www.novamusik.com (jason-a kind professional). i paid 175$ and it included a free guitar rig 4pro! 64bit asio and i've gotten latencies of 4ms w/o much (knowledgeable) tweaking. 24/44.1 (192 still scares me). muti-outs and 4 assignable kontrols. don't have any info on the pre-amp but it's supposed to be quality. hope that helps.

Are you using Sonar 64-bit only or both 64 and 32-bit?
I've had an Audio Kontrol for several months.  I had Sonar 64-bit only at first, and everything worked fine.  But later I installed Sonar 32-bit, and since then my AK1 keeps disconnecting on a regular basis.  I loose audio, and my whole system freezes.
That happens now even when I'm not using Sonar, for example using a synth as stand-alone.
Otherwise it was a great interface, but I can't use it anymore.  I had to reinstall my old Roland Sound Canvas and I don't have that problem with it (however the audio quality is not as good).

hi roamingo01. i haven't experianced any problems w/either 64 or 32bit. ni's product specs say you need to install the latest service pak for 32 and 64bit drivers. i am not the tech expert(that's for SURE), but i dont believe a driver problem should freeze you whole system. again, it works for me...64 and 32bit.

Driver problems can do all kinds of weird things, including freezes. My laptop has X1 only in 64- bit on it now, cos I left my 8.5 installs on from before, so I have 8.5 32-bit if I need it. I've used by NI shop voucher on sounds since it was about to expire...good to have the info, though. :)
