Anyone using Neil Peart Drums 1 for Session Drummer 3 yet?
Just curious if its better to buy on the Kontakt platform, that i don't like as much. Just curious if one is more tweak able than the other?

I would also like to know. I thought about buying: I feel like I never really have the sounds I want.

as a a kid i was always a fan of his sound...so this is more of a nostalgia purchase than a great business decision. Hoping someone can chime in

I want it, but I'm waiting for a discounted version. Peart is the bomb.

I just got Neil Peart and Andy Johns drums for SD3. I got them after reading this thread as a matter of fact. I like the AJ kit better. In fact the Johns kit smokes every other kit I have...and some are damn good. I imagine you can tweek the Peart kit more on Kontact than SD.

Can you use Session Drummer 3 with an Axiom 25 controller? I am interested in switching software since I am getting a bit tired of Battery 3.

The Johns kits (1 of them with a small and large program version) for SD3 are 2 gigs worth of the full Johns kits for BFD (70 gigs) Session drummer 3 has no overhead or room mic features. It is a simple interface compared to BFD. More details here: http://www.platinumsample...mer3/AndyJohnsKit1.php AFAICT there is no Kontact compatible version, but I could be wrong. The full kit is BFD only and is $199. Cakewalk got the only other version, a single kit for $39 for SD3. The SD3 kit is flawless, the drums and cymbals are perfect, the tuning perfect, the sound of everything is snappy (the snare is to die for), no artifacts, punchy, I can go on but I don't know how...the kit is perfect. Perfect. Cakewalk really scored pulling this off...

bummer about the interface. So the Neil Peart kit is set up the same as all the other kits that come with SD3??? How bit is the Neil Peart kit?
