Anyone using R.A.W. Universal Groove Kit with Stylus RMX?
I just received my R.A.W. [REX-Apple Loops-WAV] Universal Groove Kit (by Sonic Reality), and I'm wanting to get all of its REX files into Stylus RMX via the SAGE Converter. Problem is, in the SAGE Converter tutorial, Eric [Persing] says there's a limit of "61 files" per suite when importing REX files. Well, with R.A.W., we're talking in excess of 5000 loops.
When I look in the individual folders (05GE Kick Snare Patterns 3, 02PRC Misc Percussion, etc.), I notice that the greatest number of files any folder contains is... (you guessed it) 61. So I thought hey maybe Sonic Reality is giving me the hint that I should be importing each folder individually instead of dragging the big, main "R.A.W. REX Edition" folder onto the Converter. Problem is, there's one solitary folder that exceeds the 61 files - "01DRM Vinyl Grooves", which has 72 files. So that shoots down my "hint" theory. In a way, I'm glad, since I wouldn't want that many suites (106) cluttering up my RMX browser. I'd rather have a single, main "R.A.W." heading, which I can go into if I choose.
So, before I start trying things, I wanted to see if anyone here might have suggestions on how to go about importing and organizing this [or any other large REX] library for use within RMX.
Thanks.
