Anyone using an external Octa-Capure with the VS-700?

Anyone using the VS-700 with an external Octa-Capture to expand the number of ports? I have had horrible problems with the latest V1.5 firmware/driver combination and am trying to ascertain how widespread this problem is. It occurs across all DAWs I have tested and is specifically triggered by enabling the VS-Expand option (to allow the ASIO driver to see the slave device) in the new control panel for the driver.

I NEVER had any issues with my audio with the older driver/firmware combination. All was pristine and performance was great. I cannot roll back because Roland does not have the V1.0 firmware available and they have been totally unhelpful.

Any insights greatly appreciated. I had a lengthy forum topic on the Sonar X1 forum about this if you want to follow the lengthy debugging and experimental trail.

I had to go back from the 1.5 version to get mine to work properly. I think I can email you the v1.0 if you PM me with your email.

So I am guessing you had the same problems as me? I PM'ed you. Thanks a lot for the help.

Does a factory reset help?

I am pretty sure a factory reset would only reset the user defined parameters. It does not change the firmware. Did you upgrade your firmware to V1.5? If you didn't do that you could not have used the V1.5 driver. Did you somehow upgrade your firmware to V1.5 but are successfully using a V1.0 driver in Sonar? They claim that won't work.
