Anyone using any Sonimus products?

http://www.sonimus.com/products/
I've been sick with the flu, so I'm lying around watching videos. The Sonimus Sweetone looks like it would be good right before an amp sim. I also watched a mixing tutorial and the guy used it in front of the vocals with Sonimus Satson on the busses. I usually use Pro-Q before the amp sim, but the Sweetone may provide a nicer way with a little preamp mojo.

I like Sweetone a lot ... I've used it on guitars and vocals with great success.  Good price, too.  I doubt you'll be disappointed.

    Cheers,

Both of you guys said what I was thinking. I don't need Satson ( I hardly use Sonar's console sims or SDRR) and I would probably like Sweetone. I'll probably pick that up at some point.

    It's only $25, why not?

Just apply the Costco bulk-price analysis. It's a two-band EQ. That's $12.50 per band, half the per-band price of Pro-Q! You could use three of them in series and they'd do what Pro-Q does.

Unless you want a 24 or 48 dB/oct slope, of course. Or a high-Q notch/bandpass. But it does have a "Sweet" switch, much simpler to operate than some complicated "Frequency" knob.

Sorry, I have nothing constructive to add. I'm just going a little bonkers here without my audio interface.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Hahaha! I get your point of course, but for guitars it might be ok to have a quick little eq in front or behind with a knob or two.

    I got the:
    ProQ
    Sweetone
    Satson console

Pro Q is a great EQ, it keep's the tonality ( character )
of your audio / instruments, it also have a good stereo image / definition
Con: "may be" 1 band short at the low mid, to use it as an "Go to EQ"
but it is an analog type EQ, so just another instance would do..

Sweetone is a nice quick EQ, great on the master BUS as well, for that ( Lift )

The Satson Console, well i do not know if its the best ( depends on taste, coloring/ distortion, etc ..)
but at least it will give more stereo wideness and bring some overtones in
and a tad of a more detailed ( sound-picture ) if i may say so.
It is an subtle console IMO, and perfect for those who want it that way.

    I ditched :
Toneboosters bundle / DDMF bundle / 99.9% of freeware / Sold - PSP McQ / sold - Fabfilter Pro Q
    IK Multimedia Reverbs  ..

I weep't and was in agony, but had to get a hold to myself, and try to control the G.A.S syndrome. . . .

Less is more : meaning... , knowing your plugins is more important

Vst Freeware i got left is :
    Klanghelm DC1A
    Algorverb

My almost perfect EQ would be, the GUI and funktions from Fabfilter Pro Q
and something like the "sound" from the sonimus Pro Q

looking for something like this: Voxengo or maybe : Eosis

Testing the Voxengo, but im not quite sure about it's sound
and GUI is a bit messy IMO, but love the dynamic filter(s)

The Eosis has to be tested when a release may happen, hopefully !

I used to use Satson until Sonar introduced their console emulator.

    Peace!
