Anyone with the Pro Audio 9 mp3 encoder successfully unlock the X2 x64 encoder?

Aparantly the mp3upgrader app doesn't work with X2 x64 (although it appears to) so I'm wondering what I have to do to get it working.

Thanks.

Get Audacity and the Lame (mp3) library.

Gets the job done, but outside of Sonar.

I got a fresh activator from support for X2 64 .  Easy, just contact support and request.  Works fine.  The response for me was same day

Theréis a way in Sonar to set up the Lame encoder. I would say do a forum seach (a how-to has bee posted) but you may have problems

    This may help you :

Why wouldn't they just make some kind of announcement? Seems odd that you they would not want to broadcast it.  Am I missing something about their process?

I contacted support directly with my prior mp3 license and they sent me the file. Although, I really thought it sounded lame(small joke) and have since started using ITunes mp3 encoder.

    Gear: A bunch of stuff.

I did search and I did attempt the go with the LAME encoder but I must have misunderstood something because I couldn't get it working. I don't really believe it should be such a cryptic chore to export what is arguably the most common audio format in the world. I find it disingenuous that Cakewalk actually says their reason for not including it is that "not all of their users require it" (or something along those lines). When I think of the heaps of stuff they've included in the previous versions of their software that I never used even once (guitar rig, for example) and they don't include a simple mp3 encoder.

    There's my rant.

    Good day.

    +1!

It was very simple tho I don't recall the specifics... Mostly it was contacting them. The rest was even easier! ;-)

So yeah, just contact them and they send you a file that seems to take care of it. It would be nice if they included that in the Help content.

That's good to hear. The thread was pretty old, even that last message
so I was afraid things might have changed more recently.

    Thanks for the go ahead.
