AFAIK, Speakerphone is unique. It's aimed, I think, at video post-production studios that need to emulate some specific real-world effect for a soundtrack. I think it would be a killer effect to have, but in music production it usually isn't necessary to exactly reproduce the sound of a kidnap victim shouting from the trunk of a 1972 Lincoln.
Although Speakerphone may be in a class by itself, the technique of using impulse response files to emulate speakers isn't unique. Many amp sims also support speaker simulation, and although they're more concerned with emulating guitar amplifiers than, say, bullhorns they can still do interesting things with vocals.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
