Are we still using problem reporter?

I can't find problem reporter. It's not under support/ contact. When I click the link of an old problem report I’ve had, it goes to email support. Is email support what we use to report a bug? I know there’s a p[problem reporter forum. Am I supposed to report it there? Or has the website been down for about 24 hours?

Can someone help me out please?

That or the Problem Reports area of this forum. The old problem reporter system was taken down some time ago.

This is a tough one but I just read your problem report.
If your Problem is concerning v-vocal im not sure your going to get or see a fix.
Sorry that's just my opinion and we all know what opinions are like.
Its just v-vocal hasn't been supported for a few years now.

I understand and hope that maybe the same bug affects other things in Sonar. I've reverted back to 2017.04, which has been the most stable version for me. V-vocal crashes it sometimes with it too, the fix has been to freeze or disconnect softsynths like Ivory and Superior drummer or just reboot. So far I haven't found any tricks to get 2017.10 to work

Have you tried using Melodyne ?
IMO its a lot better than v-vocal.

To complicate matters further I believe V-Vocal was a Roland product Gerry. I would seriously consider giving melodyne a try as Chuck suggested.

I tried it a long time ago and liked V-Vocal better. It seems last time I checked into it, it seemed to me that Melodyne was overpriced and seemed to try to continue to nickel and dime you after you bought it. Correct me if I'm wrong. Did you use V-vocal a lot before moving to Melodyne?

So far I've been able to work around any quirks with V-vocal by always immediately bouncing to track after tuning a clip and sometimes opening the window causes a crash and so far disconnecting some soft synths fixes that.

When I upgraded from 2017.04 to 2017.10 I also did the Fall Creator's Win 10 update and actually wonder if that's the culprit. 2017.10 certainly did crash a lot more, not only because of V-vocal.

When I got a V-vocal clip that continued to crash Sonar with no fix, I decided to revert back to 2017.04. Maybe the next Sonar version will be better, if the Fall Creator's update has had an effect.

Melodyne base version comes free with sonar. I was never nagged to upgrade, only register it.
I used V-vocal loyally in earlier versions of Sonar (X1+X2) but once I tried out Melodyne I could not ever reasonably think about going back to V-vocal. There is a learning curve of course, like anything else but it does simple auto tuning, auto snapping, pitch correction tasks 2 times as fast as V-vocal ever did. Not only that but you can enlarge the Melodyne interface to see a much larger diagram of notes your working on.

So are you currently using the free version? Does it have the time stretching? And dynamics, where you can boost the volume of a word? I guess I thought we had to buy the full version to have anything that was comparable to V-Vocal. I appreciate anything else you can say about it.
