Are you having trouble with soundcloud?

Hey guys, I uploaded a track over on the songs forum and the link it gave me for my track seems to be dead. Can you tell me is this is good?  This isn't a plug...really...

Link deleted........

The one time it worked for me the guitars seems way loud for the track but now it won't load for me.

i listened and commented on it Tim. Are you using the new 'improved' Soundcloud? You can revert back to the old style - I did as I fear change

Thanks for listening Daryl! All I seem to get is a soundcloud logo with a blank page. I can't even go back to the old one at this point.

Sound Cloud no longer supports Firefox 3.6.

Just thought I'd throw that out there for all us faithful 3.6 users.

I tried to open up FF3.6 and IE9 at the same time. Normally this is problem, but when I do that, Sound Cloud won't work in either browser now. It's one or the other.

At least, that's how it seems to be working on my laptop.

    What a p.i.t.a.

if it has a "#" in front of your user name in the URL then you are using the beta version and with the "#" you are requiring the person who clicks on the link to use the beta version, but if they don't log into the beta version they can't get to your song.

personally I've been making sure to take the "#" out of the URL so people don't have a problem.

Works for me on the following 'updated' browsers; FFox, Chrome, Safari.

Tried it in IE, and the page is blank, but I haven't used IE for a long, long time.

Works for me, but it's a different looking page to the usual. 'Hear This Sound'..?? How lame is that...

When the Soundcloud page comes up there is an option to revert to the old version. Click on that and all is good again.

The soundcloud problem is an issue with IE. Works fine in Google Chrome.
Soundcloud went with an HTML 5 configuration probably to keep up with the latest trend in browsers.Only problem is the beta version doesn't work well on older versions of IE.

I tried it on my win7 computer at home and no go. The computers here at work are not loading it either.

Thanks for checking the link...FWIW please do NOT click that link now as I have a better mix I need to put up. I almost became physically sick when I heard what it sounded like uploaded lol.

It wasn't just my site. Same problem when trying to listen to other sites as well. I hope they get the problem cleared up soon.

I'll say this. Souncloud generally sux for non Soundcloud users and does not seem to work in AOL at all (I know, I know, who still uses AOL?.... sadly, about 5 or 6 people I know do still use AOL).

and also, soundcloud does not work on my android tablet.  that pisses me off, but I can't get any streaming site to work on it, so it's not just soundcloud's fault.

    YES!  that's annoying as HEEEECK!

if I'm on a page listening to a particular song - mine or someone elses doesn't matter - I do NOT want it to play a "RELATED" song.  gRRR!

that's the new soundcloud - can't STAND that "feature!"

Iknorite?! I mean can't that be disabled on the uploader's end? I've got a couple metal songs, a country song and a freaky loopy groove song up there. They play randomly and yanno... if I want someone to listen to something I don't want the completely non relevant shiz to play. So annoying.

why should I be required to PAUSE a song that I didn't come to listen to????

they asked for feedback for the new version and I told them that I HATED that.

I"m sure they'll listen to ME, tho! HA!

If you've given them cash they're more likely to listen to you than me. I just hate when people "fix" things that aren't broken. One of my ancient hotmail accounts is almost unusable because of the new Outlook bollocks.

I'm certain that won't last forever.  why would they develop a new one if they plan to leave the old one available?

I can't look because I have already done it, but what I had was an OOps ....you need to update your browser. There was a link to MORE... which when clicked on offered the option to revert to the old version.

Try this link in IE - tells you what to do    http://help.soundcloud.com/

Mebbe so, but then Firefox said months and months ago that I would have no choice but to update to the latest version in 2 days time and yet here I still am on trusty old 3.6.

But what happens to others visiting my page on what it is now the default settings? I'm not worried about autoplayback when I click on one of my links. I want to control what happens when OTHERS click my links.

    It's like...

Me: "Hey check out this nice Johnny Cash cover I did".

    Recipient: *clicks*

Recipient: "Well goldagned that sounds nic..."

    Soundcloud: *BLARING METAL TRACK*

    Recipient: "AAAAGGGGHHH!!!"

    Me: "Umm... sorry?"

Yup, I replied to the wrong post...it was meant to be a reply to this one..

"I went to listen to one of my uploads and it autoplayed through all my stuff. I don't want it to do that. Stupid websites "helping". Grr... "

Didn't know it was doing what you say as I already reverted back to the old version, so when I click on any links it just comes up as it was before.
