Argeggiator Help

Hello.
I am trying to learn how to use the arpeggiator in Sonar X3.  I have two questions. 
 
First, when I click on the presets tab in the track inspector to look for patterns, there is no patterns option...only presets.  Does anyone know what may be causing this?
 
Second, can anyone explain how the "Snap To Scale" section in the inspector works?
