Armor for Sleep drum sounds

If any of you have the CD called What to Do When You Are Dead by the band Armor for Sleep, please listen to those drums sounds. I'm sorry that's a relatively obscure CD, but I've been listening to it a lot lately and I absolutely LOVE those drum sounds. I'd love to find some like them.

Many thanks,
John

I'm a perfectionist, and perfect is a skinned knee.

Well, not *that* obscure, but it's not like I asked for Bon Jovi or Metallica drum sounds. :-)

Whoa. What is it you hate? The Armor for Sleep CD? They're really good musicians! The songwriting is pretty good and the drum sounds are killer. They're recorded very well, and you can tell the drums themselves are quality drums and they were tuned very well prior to recording. I especially love the toms. Awesome.

sorry. tis the genre itself. try the original metal riffs with bands like at the gates, dark tranquility, in flames, eucharist etc these are the original melodic death metal bands which 90% of bands today are stealing riffs from. no emo vox tho i'm afraid. but yeah, nice drum sound, as i say listen to the album 'clandestine' by entombed for th sickest kick drum ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

The CD I'm listening to (What to Do When You Are Dead) is more of a neo-punk/emo sort of thing. I haven't heard Armor for Sleep's first CD which came out a few years ago. I like this new one more and more as I continue to listen to it. They've got some killer drum sounds and some pretty darn good guitar sounds, as well. The mix is superb. There's some good programming, like on the song Basement Ghost Singing. I really dig it. Understated, yet just right. I also like the guitar on that song. I need to figure out the right delay settings for it so I can learn how to play it myself.
