Arpeggiator Midi - Convert Midi to arpeggiated notes.

Awhile ago, I was working on a project and using the arpeggiator on the midi track.  When I "bounced to clips" it changed the chords to individual notes displaying the arpeggiation I had selected.  It was really helpful because I could get in there and really play around with the notes.

I'm trying to do that again - and I can't seem to remember how I did it...  I thought all I did was bounce to clips, but that doesn't seem to be working.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

You need to insert the arpeggiator straight to the midi clip to achieve this. Right click on the file and insert effect and the bounce should work like that.

Bounce to clips should work with SONAR's built-in MIDI track arp.

@Brundlefly - It did work for me before...  I'm not exactly sure why it isn't on this particular project.  I was wondering if there was a setting or something that I might be missing..  Any ideas?

I just went through and did it by hand, but I'd like to know for future reference...

Not sure. I just tried various ways to make it not work, and didn't encounter any problems. If you can hear the effect of the live Arp right before bouncing, and you're bouncing the clip in the correct track, it should work. The only thing I can think is if you've previously bounced some other separate clip in that track, that will automatically turn off the Arp, and you'd have to re-enable it to bounce another clip.

I just started a new project and it worked fine.  Then I added a new midi track and it worked fine again...  However - the previous track that I was working on - it still doesn't work.  I've tried re-recording and doing it and nothing happens...  Odd.

I just did it out by hand, but I'd really like to get to the bottom of it for future reference.
