Arpeggiator Problem - bug found

Hi

I have set the Studio Instruments Bass Guitar on an Arpeggiator preset (Rock Bass). Everything sounds fine on preview but when I do a Mix Down to wav/mp3 etc... The final mix on the bass guitar sounds nothing like the one in Sonar! There are bum notes appearing which is clearly not right. I have tried changing the preset but that doesn't work either.

There is another 2 track with the Arpeggiator but no problem with these.

I think I'm going to sack the bass guitarist or possibly the producer!

Has anyone any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Try freezing the track before you do your mixdown, it might help.

Yes, I hadnt thought of that so I tried just now but the mix sounds just like when I did the mix down. I reported the issue to Cakewalk and I think they agree there is a problem and they are investigating.

    Thanks for the suggestion anyway....

    Hi Again

There is most certaintly a bug in the arpeggiator and the support team have confirmed this.  They say the fix will be out in the next release. Maybe 8.5.4 or in 9.0. I may have slowed the release date of version 9.0?!!!

    Cheers
    Martin

    Hi Martin

    Did Cakewalk mention 8.5.4?

errrr no....  just me making rash assumptions... I expect it will all depend on how much of a bug they think it is. They certainly said it will be fixed in the next release.... watch this space....

Is this "bug" just an occasional glitch or with certain instruments / presets? Or is this for all bounced tracks using an arpeggiator?
