Arturia CS-80V volume too loud - pegs meter?

I'm having an issue with Arturia's CS-80V synth. Specifically, the volume coming from it pegs its audio track meter if it's midi volume (CC7) is set to anything above, say 10. Normally, I set midi volume on a track to 101, same as sonar's default behavior when you double click the midi track's fader. I tried Googling up a search on the issue and found a few posts that allude to it, but nothing definite.
 
This thing is blasting!
 
Has anyone experienced this type of issue, and are there any workarounds or solutions? 
 
I've tried playing with expression as well, to modify the output, and it behaves pretty much the same as volume, anything above single digits and the audio track pegs.
