For good or ill, bass abuse is not officially a crime.

However, the mis-use of the coveted Am note is not only a crime in some countries but considered genus in Yap.

Ooh.

But..
Seriously speaking again,

What's wrong with Am? Is it the most commonly used chord?

It's a CHB joke. Too complex to explain. It requires math skiilz that The Bapu does not possess. Maybe Mooch can explain it.

It's just a joke - the Coffee House Band says that bapu can't play anything on his bass except the NOTE of Am (not the chord or the key, the NOTE).

I remember the good old days when Severed Vesper was a wee lad of 17.  It seems like it was only yesterday.

Hey SV!

That's some pretty hard core stuff you're playing! Sounds great. Is it just two of you in the band? I hope you sell many copies of your CD. Come play in Norway, that kind of music would be greatly appreciated over here
