Really cool looking and great sounding bass Mooch. I didn't recognize the tune, but the drums sure sounded familiar.

Seriously, it is a beauty (all things considered).

I can't wait to play it the next time I'm in Chi-town.

That's me playing the  Hofner in 1983 -same guitar as the video -  I dont know what I was thinking with the socks  - was that the style back then ?  I tucked my comb in my sock ?

well at least the truss rod cover was in place

Great stuff Mooch.

6:42 made my belly shake.

I was also appreciative to see living proof that SONAR does indeed work even if you peak at -6dBFS. I've heard on numerous occasions that if you exceed -12dBFS that SONAR will stop and a voice will tell you that your levels are too hot for modern 24 bit recording.

Thanks buddy!!!!

Maybe it makes an exception for bass?

Where was Dora?

I miss Dora.

best regards,
mike

No, I meant your Mic.  Is that not a Blue Spark??  I loved your video...it was like riding a roller coaster of adventure never knowing when the next wild swing of the Hofner neck might be a sock in the jaw to the precariously hanging overhead mic.  It was a thrill packed video, ol pal.  Keep em comin!

ohhhh -- haha - I love my spark mic too -  it just needed to be positioned further away from the neck of the bass

Thanks yorpal !

I'll do another video soon  - and give you honorable mention since you enjoyed it!

If you swing the bass fast enough you'll be able get a good *swoosh* sound.

Why do you want him to imitate the Bapu sound of arriving for movie night?

If you add compression, the sound gets more interesting.

The term, "Saturation" should probably not be used in this context.

It must be my slightly unusual British sense of humour, or my lack of knowledge of 'in jokes', but ol' Strammy hasn't got a feckin' clue what some of you are saying half the time

"Over-modulation"? "Fountain of sound"?

I have absolutely no idea what any of this means in the context of this thread

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm checking my ID right now.  If he's right, I may need someone to order an air strike on my current position.

Bapu 'a fountain of sound'.

But I like that.

It must be the 'in jokes' stuff I'm missing out on then, or maybe I'm just not cool and laid back enough to understand them.

Or perhaps there's an 'Emperor's new clothes' thing going on

Guess I'll just have to try harder.
