As promised...Mooch's 1967 Hofner 500/1 bass Video - staring Mooch and his Hofner

1. Watch and listen to mooch talk about and show off the Hofner

2. Watch Mooch play and  sample sounds and pick up settings with and with a pick

3. Guess what Beatle song mooch plays as the video ends

What the heck is that Orange Tubular thing in the upper right corner of the vid?

Also, stop whacking it with the neck of your Hofner, you're gonna crack the neck again.

Oh yeah, tune the bass next time, mmmmmkay?

You've should have loaned him one of your genuine 75p 'Union Jack' picks to make it sound more authentic.

No the shirt is perfect, the bass was more in tune than some other forum posters than I could mention, and it was nice to hear something other than Am.

    Cool video.
What happened when the camera was facing the monitor and I heard <THUMP> "OW!" ?

Mooch broke the neck on newly restored '67 Hofner. The playing that followed was recorded earlier and he flew in the track.

At least he wants to attempt to cover his truss rod.

Some would leave their truss rod hanging out indefinitely without any shame or even thinking about covering it up.

Hey Paul, that's awesome - she sure is a beautiful instrument.

Judging by the technical expertise of your playing, I'm guessing you spent 82.78362% of Bapsi's visit teaching him how to play

One thing is troubling me about the part of your video where you're playing The Beatles though - and we're talking about a serious copyright issue here

That drum 'loop' you're playing along with - some members of The CHB will find that very familiar indeed, roight guys

Barely, and I must say it's very small cover for such a big instrument.

Very close - you did some great math calculations  my friend!

However - the true number is 82.78372% ... I believe your mistake was that you divided the 3 instead of subtracting .21.... in step 14 of the equation ...

I am impressed though -- good job!!
