Asio Panel won't open(FW1884)

Hello,
New problem now, S6 windows xp64, running s6 32 bit version. When I go to tools, audio, and click on the asio panel at the bottom to change the latency, the asio panel will not open. Now under the 64 bit version of windows, it will open. Any thoughts on what could be causing this, because as it is now, I can never change the latency.

The ASIO panel behaves the same way for me with the FF800. all you need to do in Sonar x86 is open the Auio properties page , click the ASIO tab and then manually open the FW1884 control panel and change the latency. Then close Sonar's Audio dialog.

I've got the same problem on Windows 7 64 Bit. Was working before, but Cakewalk support had me uninstall and reinstall to fix another issue. Now it aint working.

I'm also getting pops and clicks where I never did before. I guess it's back to tech support... sigh.

You should be able to open the ASIO panel from the Control Panel icon for the soundcard. The button in Sonar is a shortcut to it, but its not the only way to open it.

Open the FW control panel from the FW itself.
    Change your latency there.
I've never had good luck doing this in Sonar.
Close and re-open Sonar if you must.

    Red,
    Are you using an FW-1884?

    dunno about older sonar..

BUT go into audio hardware.. untick any in/out that isn't the tascam? ... then apply

restart sonar, and you'll find it should open..

it's not opening if multiple in/outs from other cards are enabled.. OR your drivers have an issue
