Assign controllers to toolbar buttons?

Assign controllers to toolbar buttons?

I just purchased a Novation Launchkey MIDI controller which has transport control buttons. I'd like to map them to Sonar 8.5's transport, but I can't find a way to do it. It seems the toolbar buttons can only be mapped to the QWERTY keyboard, not to MIDI CC controls. Or am I missing something?
