Asus K8N good for audio?

I'm building a low-spec pc for a family member who uses basic audio apps such as fruity loops with vsti's and Project 5. He needs a new pc to replace the absolutely hideous and useless pentium 233. I'm buidling him a sempron 2500+, 512 ram, 80 gig hd all in an ASUS K8N mobo. I would like to know if this is among the recommended mobos for audio. I'd strongly prefer going with asus bc there isn't much of a choice where I live. Any users experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    I use a Asus K8N,works problemfree for me,but I´suggest you go for a Socket 939 board instead,for upgradepossibilities -possibly a dual-core.
Do not use the Sempron, while it is a perfectly good processor for most tasks,it has a small cache, you should at least have 512kb cache so I´d recommend an Athlon instead.

    Windows 10 (LTSB) - i7 8700 - ASUS GTX1060 -16 GB Corsair Vengeance - Samsung SSD´s - Seagate HD´s - RME FF400 - & too many geetars & amps
