    Hey Clint,

    Recently bought an Amplifire and it does sound fantastic - one of my best ever purchases. Looking to learn more about the A12 to see if there is a compelling reason to change.

    The only difference will be the 12 switches, two expression pedal inputs, Effects loop and on/off switch.
    The processors are the same, the firmware will be the same.

    Thanks Clint. That's a relief knowing I just pulled the trigger on one and didn't want mine to be outdated in less than a couple of weeks. There would have been growling noises in my studio. :). Having the extra switches would be nice. I also like the small footprint of the little red box. Keep me posted if you get a 12. BTW: I have some of your presets and like them. Thanks for that. I may send you a PM sometimes with a question if you don't mind? On that note, where is the best forum for amplfire users?

    What is this thing?  I am not sure whether to be interested or not.  The initial web page is not helpful in that regard and I am a bit lazy to chase all over the internet to find out.  Is it one of the new small pedal amps for guitar?

    @jeteague

    I would encourage you to research the atomic amplifire. It's one of the top end amp modelers available. The other offerings that appear to be the in the mainstream of high end amp modelers are Kemper, Helix and Axe Fx. Back to the amplifire - the new version A12 appears to be a step up with features focused on user interaction, however from what we're learning from Clint and others is the sounds and internal features have not changed.

    For me, my search for amp tones is over. The amplifire is much better than I expected, and I expected a lot.

    @Dave   Thanks for taking the time to give me a clue on this.  I have a great couple of amps, but I am interested in this technology and I will check it out.

    Yes it is Jim! The tones I was seeking are in there. Big fendery blues tones with an underlying crunch. Gilmour may sue me. So nice :) Thank you for paving the way with your insight and willingness to jump in ahead of most of us.
