Attention ForumMonkeys
Dear ForumMonkeys,
I am coming to terms with the fact that, at my age, and health issues, I may never see a stage, let alone attain popularity. I am a mediocre player and a horrible singer. Having given up my drivers license, due to stroke, and inability to play to modern standards, due to arthritis, I am coming to terms with the fact that I may have no other alternative than to sell my songs off, or donate them.
I, for one, do not like the idea of outright selling them, therefore, I would like to know if you guys would be interested in recording some of them, as a group. You would be free to alter the arrangements, lyrics and individual parts, to showcase your own styles. While it would be nice to retain the overall feel of a song, I am not going to be picky.
I want no compensation for any of them, only that I be listed as original composer, when appropriate.
With kidney failure a looming possibility, I do not know how many years I have left and would love to see some of my songs recorded, mastered and released by truly talented people.
