    Hi Rik,

Very nice.  Everything is perfectly placed.  Tones are excellent.  But, it could use ambiance.  I would love to hear this recorded in a livelier room.  The piece is great but it just could use air around the instruments like recording about 12 inches further away.  Your music is really soothing.  I mean all this in a very positive way.

    What Rik said.
The lead line on this is particulary sensitive in the way you played it. Your touch was really right on. But, it would be nice if the different parts sat in their own space. I think the 12 inch point is a good starting point.

Beautiful melody and that's alwasy a lofty goal.  Sweet arrangement.  As Tim said, a little more seperation would just make this a little sweeter than it already is.  Very nice.  Well played too.

Outstanding.  It is haunting and intimate at the same time.  As for the comments about space above, it's like asking yourself do I add more sugar to the mix or let it stand on its own.  Just a matter of personal choice.  Personally, I don't like things too sugary.

    All the best,

Good tune Rik, excellent guitar, agree could do with some more defined separation.

    Thanks for sharing.

What a shame this piece was not created when they filmed "Evita". With it's underlying Latin feel, it would have made a stunning theme for the film. Far, far better than anything that other man wrote! A truly gorgeous piece of music.

Rik, an amazing guitar tone as ever, and of course the playing is wonderful. the accordian is...not quite right. i am listening on headphones, but if i were ever listening to a guitar/accordian duo (peut-etre si je me trouve en France) the accordian would be louder and bigger than the acoustic, by mixing the accordian purely on the left you are taking away some of the realism. which is a great shame, as the sound of both, and the tune itself, are magnificent.

Hi James, thanks, glad you like it.

Hi Gary, thanks, yes it's an accordion and two guitars ; )

Hi Mark, I originally had the accordion in the center and much louder, decided to move it to one side to create some space for the guitars. On speakers it's not so bad, I hope. ; )

You make money I hope doing what you do???

There was a cat called I think his last name was Martyn in the 70's he had one hit and your playing style reminds me of his.

I am constantly humbled by the talent that posts songs on this forum.  This is indeed one of those pieces.  How beautiful and haunting.

There is something about the sound of the recording that needs more air.  I don't think reverb is the answer though.  The comments about a better room or mic placement might be the answer.  Not that the recording is bad, it is just that such a beautiful performance deserves the best in sound recording.

Hi John, thanks for listening, again. Glad you prefer this mix : )

Hi Ben, thanks for listening,  I can assure you I make no money whatsoever, especially playing the guitar ; ). I guess you mean John Martyn ? He was good.

Hi Glen, thanks for listening, glad you find it beautiful and haunting. I can understand that you're missing "air"in this, there isn't any : )  Just my "plywood wonder" guitar plugged straight in to the laptop.
