Audible pops... is it a bug?

During my Sonar 6 evaluation, I noticed very audible pops at start/stop of using the scrub tool, and also on start/stop of simply playing back an audiofile and hitting space.

Do you notice the same start/stop pops on your setups or does Sonar just prefer a slightly different setting with my audiocard? (RME 9652, Buffer Size 1024, 44Khz for Music).
If monitoring on the big speakers or headphones, this can get a little uncomfortable during editing.

Are there any known issues with RME cards and Sonar6? I mean... HDSP 9652 is not exactly what I call a cheap audio card. Still I tried to change some of the settings but with no result.

Its a fantastic card you have. Try turning X-ray off in sonar, also, did you update to 6.2.1 and lower that I/O buffer to 128 or 256
also, do you have the latest drivers for the OS your running sonar on.

    yes, latest driver from www.rme-audio.de

How about just clicking on an audio file with the scrub tool, does it click/pop? It does here. When I move it, it pops slightly on direction change.. which is rather weird. Sounds like a corrupt wordclock signal but I know the wordclock I/O is fine.

it´s a first release Nvidia 8600 GTX with an early driver version. Checked but everything´s ok with the IRQs, trying new forceware drivers now.

I have noticed this not only with scrub, but recording in general. What I've fonud is that if you have your clock set to master - but recording via optical, it WILL tick on you. Set the clock source to autosync and it will go away.

Try switching to 16bit color for a test. I get pops but it usually is when the screen redraws. My video card is a little long in the tooth so I have to use 16bit color. It helps.
