Audio Editing -- Can you perform slip edits, time corrections, region FX on flattened com
This is probably a question for dummies. I was working in Sonar 8.5 a lot until recently. Now I'm trying to become as fluent with Sonar Platinum. I don't know if I just don't understand the tool bar tools or what. I've recorded some tracks in comp mode and have gone through and gotten a good composite of the takes using the Comp mode tool. I did a Flatten Comp and have the composite track in its own take lane. Now the question is, can I edit it like I would the old fashioned way, doing some pitch corrections, slip editing, and such, just on the new composite clip from the comp flatten operation without screwing up the rest of the original comp takes; or do I have to bounce to track and edit from there?
As I tune and tighten the track, and begin to mix, I often find I need a different clip in a particular spot to avoid clashing with another instrument. Can I still copy by drag and drop from one of the other takes, or do I have to do the Flatten Comp again and start over with my fine editing to get the revised comp "patched" with the spot I needed to fix?
